Bulgăraş / Nugget
Woooooo! I'm so exciteeeed. It's been a long time since I have had this kind of feelings for a painting. I just love, love, love Nugget! She's perfect! She's simple. The balance between coloured and non-coloured areas is perfect. The shapes are perfect. The colours are perfect. The very concept is perfect. Man, I'm a genius!
Nugget is part of an old project. Like a last winter old project when i was waiting for the snow and cold to go away and I was thinking of all the pretty flowers I'll get to smell once a little bit of sun and warmth come up.
And just sitting and thinking got me dreaming of what are the flower bulbs doing. I mean, we all know they're sentient beings right? Riiight? And they surely have a human-like society, right?
So I had this scared and terrified tulip chatting up to a crocus. You see, crocus had already bloomed and knew everything about how it is up there but poor tulip didn't know what to expect so she was getting all the advice and comfort she could store before blooming.
And then on the side we had sleepy little hyacinth. She couldn't be bothered to bloom on time. No sir, she was dancing to her own tune. She was just minding her own business, my little nugget. She's so precious! I think she appeals to my lazy procrastinating side, that must be it.
